Mechanic Legends Car Customization: Tuning, Wheels and Paint

Last updated:

Choose a Mechanic Legends car customization route based on whether you want a different tune, engine hardware, wheels or body color.

Use the Handheld Tuner for available car-specific tunes. The B10 has a twin-turbo and Stage 2 flame-map build; change wheels at the tire workshop, remove body rust in the Prep Booth and choose a color in the Paint Booth.

Choose by the Change You Want

  • Exhaust flames: Choose the 2019 Avelin B10 twin-turbo and Stage 2 build. In that setup, Stage 2 is described as adding a 5% gain and a flame map, with flames appearing while driving. The twin turbo is part of this build; it is not established as a requirement for every Stage 2 tune.
  • A tune for the Taurino: In the 1974 Ferrucna Taurino setup, Stage 1 is available with a displayed +6% Gain and costs about $13,000 in-game cash. Stage 2 is unavailable in that setup. The B10 and Taurino figures describe different cars and cannot establish which stage is stronger on the same car.
  • Different rims: Visit the tire workshop and inspect the rim display. Support the car on a lift or jackstands before removing a wheel; the tire machine separates and reassembles its tire and rim.
  • A cleaner or different finish: Take a rusty body to the Prep Booth first, then use the Paint Booth for the color. Strip Paint removes the existing finish as well as the rust.
  • Engine hardware: Shop by engine model. The 1.6L Inline-4 Billet Block costs $11,050 more than its standard Block, so its price alone is not a reason to prioritize it for performance.

Budget for Each Service

The Handheld Tuner pass is a Robux purchase; the tune installation is a separate in-game charge. Check the available stage and price for your car before installing it. Compare the pass with other paid benefits in the game pass guide.

Body preparation and painting are also charged separately. For a 2003 Mizora MT8, rust removal and priming cost $1,000, followed by $200 for a dark-green repaint. Check the quote for your own car, and match hardware to the relevant engine model when shopping.
