Mechanic Legends Wheels: Sizes, Tires and Rim Changes

Last updated:

Check the wheels on your car before changing a tire or rim at the tire workshop.

Equip the Wrench and point at a wheel to see its specifications. Support the car on a lift or jackstands, remove the wheel, and use the tire machine to separate and reassemble the tire and rim before installing it again.

Read the Installed Wheel's Specifications

Equip the Wrench and point at an installed wheel. The panel shows the rim dimensions, tire name, Overall size and Damage reading.

For example, one wheel fitted with a Street 35 tire reads 18.4 × 9.5 inches for the rim and 24.7 inches for Overall. Those dimensions describe that particular wheel configuration.

Why Wheel Removal Is Blocked

The car must be supported by a lift or jackstands before you can remove a wheel. Raise it on the lift or support it with jackstands, then aim the Wrench at the wheel and try again. For other workshop equipment and repair basics, see the car repair guide.
